Legion Of Stars #1

Legion of Stars is a new character-driven space adventure comic book series starring Latinx and Nahua (Aztec) characters struggling for survival among the stars. This epic tale is created, written, and lettered by Chris C Hernandez and brought to life with art by Ana Patricia Ramos and color by Gab Contreras. Legion of Stars is influenced by the fun sprawling sci-fi adventures of the late 70's like Star Wars and Battle of the Planets/Gatchaman.

After awakening on an alien slave ship on the other side of the galaxy, New York Private Investigator Iliana Hernandez must join a group of displaced Nahua (Aztec) warriors and their alien guide Naveen, a member of a sentient race of “robots”, to find her sister and a way back home. Aided by advanced battle suits the Nahua warriors are more than a match for most enemies they first encounter. The search quickly becomes a struggle for survival as they confront powerful alien governments and cultures that seem intent on manipulating or imprisoning the powerful group.  Will their adventures bring them the answers they need or result in spirit-crushing realization that things will never be the same?
